Global Technologies Introduces
a New Service to Migrate Film
and Paper Records into Digital
Data
December

ROCHESTER, N.Y., December 7,
2007 - To assist facilities
with the transfer of patient
images and/or medical records
into an electronic information
management system, eHealth Global
Technologies introduces a new
service for migrating film or
paper into a digital format.
The eHealthLoaderTM service
assists healthcare institutions
in transforming legacy data
into digital systems, such as
PACS, EMRs or other clinical
information systems (CIS). Through
the use of industry standards,
such as DICOM and HL7, along
with the latest digitizing technology,
eHealthLoaderTM provides a solution
for facilities seeking to capture
historical paper or film-based
medical records electronically.
The service also interfaces
with a healthcare facility's
existing IT systems and uploads
the data for immediate use by
clinicians. Additionally, the
service can provide a "digital
bridge" to migrate data from
one digital system to another.
"All too often, healthcare
facilities increase their operating
costs by maintaining two systems
- a legacy analog system and
a digital IS solution," said
Michael Margiotta, Chief Executive
Officer, eHealth Global Technologies.
"Patient information must be
accessible and available to
clinicians to ensure the highest
quality of care at a reasonable
cost. eHealthLoaderTM is the
answer for facilities seeking
to turn patient information
into clinical knowledge at the
point of care and beyond."
eHealth Global, through its
professional services group,
provides custom interfaces and
can expedite emergency requests.
All digitized information is
sent to a facility's internal
systems over a virtual private
network (VPN), ensuring patient
privacy and the security of
data. |
