eHealth Global Releases Image Exchange Service for RHIOs and Community Health Networks

SEATTLE, Wash., October 13, 2008 — Today at the annual meeting of the American Health Information Management Association, eHealth Global Technologies announced the release of the Image Exchange Service for RHIOs and Community Health Networks. The Image Exchange Service enables healthcare facilities to share medical images with an affordable, easy-to-use solution that does not require a large capital investment or technical implementation complexity.
With one click, users can access images via the company’s eHealthViewer, a DICOM-compliant viewer that enables diagnostic-quality viewing of medical imaging. Users can perform sophisticated 3D viewing and multi-planar (MPR) reformatting from any Windows PC or Windows Mobile smart phone.
The Image Exchange Service easily integrates into an HIE environment using existing infrastructure, including the HIE’s authentication and consent models. It works across firewalls for secure access to images and utilizes DICOM and HL-7 standards as well as the latest web technologies.
