Generation eHealthViewer for Image
Analysis and Review
ROCHESTER, N.Y., June 18, 2008
- eHealth Global Technologies
announced today the next-generation
release of the eHealthViewer™
for clinical image analysis and
review on any Windows desktop
or Windows Mobile device or smart
phone. When used in conjunction
with the company's eHealthConnect™
services, users can now view true
diagnostic quality medical images
captured by virtually any standards-compliant
medical device or modality, such
as those used by radiology, cardiology,
oncology, neurology, and orthopedics.
In addition to enabling eHealthConnect
customers to view the outside
medical imaging retrieved by eHealth
Global, the eHealthViewer is now
a critical part of the eHealthConnect
Image Exchange service, which
is being deployed now for the
Rochester RHIO.
eHealthViewer is a small, lightweight
client that provides highly
secure, high-speed image viewing
over most networks, including
wireless, and across firewalls.
In addition to viewing full-resolution
diagnostic-quality images, the
solution offers a full suite
of measurement tools that enables
users to conduct clinical analysis
and obtain accurate anatomic
measurements, 3-D image rendering
and multi-planar reformats (MPR),
and on-the-fly digital subtraction
angiography. Users can also
view full radiology reports
in conjunction with the corresponding
diagnostic image(s), even on
handheld devices.

release of eHealthViewer is
in response to our users' need
for sophisticated viewing, analysis
and review capabilities of outside
imaging studies," said

high-performance image viewing

eHealthViewer is provided as
"software-as-a-service"
(SaaS) from eHealth Global's
tier-1 data center. Installation
requires no special PC hardware
or software and is complete
in as little as 30 seconds.
