Pinnacle Health Signs eHealth Global For Referred Patient Medical Records Services

PinnacleHealth (Harrisburgh, PA) has contracted with eHealth Global Technologies, Inc. to provide its eHealthConnect™ service to PinnacleHealth's transplant department. This service provides medical records and imaging collection by eHealth Global's clinical customer support team. These records and images are then digitized and made accessible over eHealth Global's secure, internet-based viewing system.
PinnacleHealth expects to increase efficiency and timeliness for gathering lab test results, radiology reports and images, and other physician notes that are critical to getting a patient listed on an organ transplant registry. By outsourcing this medical records collection to eHealth Global, PinnacleHealth can focus their staff on direct patient care activities.
With eHealth Global's eHealthConnect™ service, PinnacleHealth is able to more easily manage the various documents and images that are collected, and view all this information on an easy-to-use, organized digital environment. Through a secure Internet connection, physicians can also view this information outside the institution without having to worry about Protected Health Information (PHI) being loaded on computer systems outside of the PinnacleHealth local network.
