eHealth Global Technologies Announces Contract With Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center
March 9, 2007
eHealth Global Technologies, Inc. today announced that it has received a contract from Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medial Center to provide its eHealthConnect™ service to the Medical Center's transplant program. This service provides medical records and imaging collection by eHealth Global's clinical customer support team. These records and images are then digitized and made accessible over eHealth Global's secure, internet-based viewing system.
Penn State Hershey Medical Center approved the contract after trying out the service through eHealth Global's pilot program. With the pilot program, the transplant department was able to fully deploy the service for thirty days while the benefits to their organization were demonstrated.
"eHealth Global's service has allowed us to reduce our average 2 week records retrieval time to 24 hours. The increase in efficiency, and the ability to get the patient listed for organ transplant that much sooner, could be the difference between life and death." stated Rachel C. Thomas, transplant program manager, Penn State Hershey Medical Center.
Transplant programs have a critical need to gather prior patient pathology, lab, and radiology reports and radiological images to support the process to get a patient listed for organ transplantation.
"We are very pleased that we can positively impact patient lives, while improving the efficiency and cost effectiveness of transplant programs," stated Ken Rosenfeld, President of eHealth Global. |
